Default Black lake

Hada great time today on the water.
Was able to get my daughter boat riding for the first time....she loved it...screaming in the wind.
Plenty of rock throwing into the water.

Didn't catch any fish though.
Through some shrimp inner a cork and a redfish spinner bait. Fished the east side of black lake.

Still trying to figure that place out.

Is there any way of figuring out the tide predictions in black lake.

Who needs fish when you have that. Careful in black lake. Lost a prop and prop shaft on the west bank Friday in an area I've fished for years. I never worry much about tide direction as long as its moving. You'll find places for incoming and outgoing.

lol could have gave him some tips on the "catching" part since he clearly tries to get his kids on fish and he's not worried about himself (i just say that bc i see you refer to fishing it for years, you could probably inbox him tips)

Read the post. Don't worry so much about tide direction. You'll find spots for incoming and outgoing. That would be a tip. I don't tell anyone where I fish unless it's over PM

Thanks guys...Not looking for spots or anything...more just a reminder from someone that I'm not fishing in a total gar hole..I tend to stay on the east side of black lake for a couple reasons....scared to run across it in fear of hitting something. I don't know the paths well traveled, or if there even is any paths to get across(seems like Russian roulette to me)...The second reason is that i wouldn't be comfortable running across all of that open water knowing if a storm popped up we would catch a beating on the return trip.
We have had some success in the past fishing the east side, but not sure if it was dumb luck.

I ALWAYS have my wife and now will ALWAYS have my lil girl when fishing...wife wouldn't miss a trip.
She actually likes cast netting for shrimp more than fishing.
Had the discussion on the way back that it may be time for a bigger boat (she initiated it). I had to tell HER maybe in a few years.

That area will get better the colder it gets. A lot of shrimp dump into the salt ditch from the a Black Lake and surrounding marshes. The fish follow the shrimp, the birds follow the shrimp jumping out of the water away from the fish and the fisherman, well they follow easy other....
