The one handed sawsall hasn't been around but for 2 years. It's a fairly new tool that's now made by rigid, Milwaukee and a few other bands. The tool costs $80 at Home Depot and the blade is $25 bucks. If you make it at home you have to cut the plastic handle off, then grind out the tang to fit the saw. Then there is shipping. So all in all, $175 for it to show up at your front door is not that bad. Making it yourself you save $75 assuming you don't jack up the first blade. It's really not a big deal I made some blades my self, using cut off blades on my grinder. But not everyone has that skill. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Its a small rigid sawzall shaped like an electric filet knife. Cosy 79.00 ay home depot. The blade can be any blade you want. But a std. mister twister blade can be used. A grinder and a sharp drill bit will allow you shape it to match a sawzall blade. Use the sawzall blade as a pattern. Or any serrated dexter blade. Just knock the handle off. Iy really does a great job on big boned fish. Cant stop it!

You would ban a grandmother?!! Jk - I'm enjoying the comments and interesting ideas some people are posting. The negative ones just slide off of me. I've always hunted and fished and raising 3 sons I've always been amazed at the variety of things they can come up with to put a different spin on a mundane task. Just don't take it so seriously! It's just a tool for cleaning. Not like it's a presidential election. Oops - did I just start another controversial thread?! :*****:

It works great on red and mangrove snapper. It really is unstoppable. Just use caution on working close to your hands.

The first time I saw it used was in grand isle. Charter boat was loaded with mangroves. He ran thru em like trout. That's what sold me. That was five yrs ago.
