Default Using a bass boat on Big Lake

So I don't have the cash for a bay boat .... I do have 15 ft alum boat...but can only use in on certain days and areas in big lake.... My grandfather said I could have his bass boat that he never uses. What are your opinions on using a bass boat on Big Lake

My uncle has an express X70 bass boat and he fished big lake with it a lot. Just not much room.

I see a lot of people do it....Just wash it real good..

See what kind of trailer the bass boat is on. They are usually not aluminum or galvanized. If it is not one of the two then it will not last but a few years...

He bought an aluminum one (trailer) from a local Xpress dealer a few years ago.

I see a lot of bass boats and 14 to 15 ft. alum. flat boats too.
When the weather is good, you see everything out there.

I fish out of a 16ft bass boat. I pick and choose my days and if it gets too rough I get in the ship channel or marsh. I will one day get a bay boat but for now its nice to be able to fish big lake and Vbay on calm days and fresh water on windy days..
