They supposed to be building a place in Lafayette right now that they gonna build all their rods and stuff. From the last I hear the owners are switching up or one if them is dropping out.

I hate to run down a company but Duce rods has the absolute worst customer service that I have ever experienced. I have been waiting since June to receive my Duce rod back from repair. I have sent multiple emails, voicemails, Pm's, etc... The only thing that I received back was a bunch of excuses and how horrible they felt. They tried telling me that the rod had been at the ex-partners house...BS. The rod was shipped to Matt's house. They promised to get back to me and were going to send me 2 rods for the inconvenience. Guess what...not a peep since then. I would expect this type of customer service from a larger company but not a local business. I can't even get my $200 rod back so someone else can repair it! A total waste of money.

If you are talking about spinning rods, an excellent rod is the new Penn Legion model: top of the line high modulus graphite, cork and guides.

Another often overlooked rod is Cabelas' Salt Stryker rods in both spinning and casting models.

All above rods at/about $99.

It should not take 6 months to return emails or phone calls. I was just told they went out of business, so I guess it will never get repaired.

I just bought five new Curado 200e7. They are discontinued and found these on ebay.I love the reels. So I needed new rods and purchased 6 for 39.99 each. I really like them. I usually fish with shimano and allstars rods. These rods are just as nice. Last years models. Daiwa Procyon PCN701MLFB ask for Peter at Simmons Sporting Goods 205 426 0490. They are split grip 7" Meduim light with extra fast tip. Rated 8-15lb line and 1/4-1/2oz. Tell him Rick from la sent you. You can check them out on ebay
