Im just saying regular grease is not a good conductor ,and would prevent proper completion of a circuit .
I know rust will interfere with the magnetic pickups on flywheels ,so it would be possible that another sustance could as well I would think

Whats the difference between a coil and lamination assembly and a stator? A diagram is telling me i have a timerbase and a coil and lamination assembly. No stator under my flywheel

The coil and lamination functions as your stator and the sensor assembly functions as your trigger. Those sensor assemblies are known to short out and that is most likely you problem.

Well got my parts put in (sorta). Replaced crankshaft seal and replaced charge coil. Before pulling the wires out of the plug i checked to see if they were color coded and they were. So ran the wires and inserted them in the plug. Then moved on to the timerbase (where i jumped the gun) and pulled the wires before checking the plug to mark them to remember what wire goes where....so looks like a late night of research to find a diagram....

Word of advice...... before taking something apart, take lots of pictures.

It is better to have a back-up plan, than no plan. I use to always make a drawings and lable all the wires....just in case I needed it.

Found a diagram and got my wiring done. Put my flywheel on and noticed my throttle was stuck. Realized my flywheel was catchin so i took it off and adjusted my charge coil. Put it back on and all was good. She fired right up. Ran about 10 minutes on the muffs and shut it off and fired it back up a couple times and no problems. Now i just need some nice weather to go run it
