The tractors are nice for the gardens, fertilize and feed all at once

So if I have a graden, which I do its about 20'x30' It's 5 rows wide by about 20' long. Can I build a pen around it and put a few chickens in there to keep the bugs out, I thought they would eat the plants.

I think they say 3-4 sq ft per chicken, the chickens will eat your veggies if they can get to em, mine get all the fruit that bugs get to

I been thinking bout making me a little chicken tractor. The insurance company folks just informed me if I don't get rid of the trampoline I will have to come up with another $1800 a year....... So heres my plan. I will take the jumping part off the trampoline and wrap the frame with chicken wire and put a coop in it........ Thoughts?

It doesn't have the wheels but I could put some. I move it whenever i cut the grass without any wheels. I was going to stretch 2 pieces of cable across the top for support and put the wire over the top.
I looked at some chicken coop plans on line and they seem easy enough to build, I may give this a go. Any suggestions for a good laying breed for the Houma area? Lifelong fan of the Super Bowl 44 Champions New Orleans Saints!!!!! |
