Casey, You may want to look into a the a neotub for it if you will be hunting in water. You can hunt in 8 inches of water with the neotub. I have an Avery and I know they make neotubs for all of their models. You may not need it if you hunt only dry fields but in muddy or fields with water they are awesome to have. Not cheap though like $100.
You need to bring your little boy Teal hunting in Thornwell next year. We are usually covered up. |

I have had an Avery blind for six years now. I bought the neotub to go with it. I can hunt in 10 inches of water. I like the portablity idea. If you hunt the refuges you need to be mobile. If you take the time to set up a make shift blind and the birds are flying a different route you are stuck. I set up right at the waters edge and get great kill shots. It is really neat to swing those doors open and see the ducks react. Got that OH SH** reaction. I also like it because if I find a field the birds are in and there is no blinds I can set it up and hunt with the owners permission. I hunted a field once which had grass all over in the pond. It was rather big and the birds only wanted to be in the middle. So I set up my blind in the middle of the pond and placed dekes all around me. The birds had no clue I was there til they heard the boom. First thing to do is mud the blind as instructed and leave it to dry a couple days. What I did next was I went to Hobby lobby and bought 8 or 9 packs of that straw people us to make Holloween scare crows. If you want you can dye it in a color which matches you area. I then just loop knotted it all over the blind using the area you slid grass through. It gave me something to work with in an instant and if I needed more to dress the blind I would just add to it from the field. It did not add any weight and I could still fold it. If you have anymore questions hit me up!
