My family came down for a few days to visit and spoil their new grandbaby. Knowing my Dad isn't a big angler, I decided to ask if he would like to give it a shot. He was game, so I planned a trip with my buddy, Jason a.k.a. Longcast. I figured since Dad has never gotten a taste of saltwater fishing, we'd try to put him on some big bull reds..
After dodging half a dozen sports launching at Cal point, Longcast, me and Dad were on our way south. Got to the jetties at about 7:30 rigged up and got hooked up right away. Dad's first redfish put up a good fight, but the next one about ate his lunch! After a great fight and several drag-burning runs, we took pics and released the bohemoth red. Dad was smiling ear to ear, laughing and giving hi-fives all around!

The action slowed after that, but we had the best time! The smile on the ol' man's face is priceless!
Special thanks to my good friend Jason. He was helping in every way. From clearing lines to gettin fresh mullet for my Dad. Jason did everything he could to make sure this day was special for my Dad and me. Thanks again, J. I appreciate it bud!
