I used to have a couple of Lew's Graphite Speed Sticks. They were some good rods back then.

![]() Thanks man, Yep we do, we carry the Lew's $99 - $199 models. Haven't heard any really bad feedback on them, so they seem to be holding up well.. that $199 tourney pro model casts like a champ... smooth smooth |

how about you price match 179! lol j/k I must note they are some fine looking reels, just curious how they cast against the wind. I saw you can't adjust the brakes like you would with a shimano. On the lews you have the turn dial style brakes, can you confirm that for me? |

Yes I can, they do have an external dial-style brake adjustment. It's actually a dual brake system consisting of a magnetic and centrifugal brake. I took one out and tossed on the side of the shop and it was very smooth and casted really far, with little effort. it wasn't windy that day, so I guess it's like any other baitcaster, just turn the brake up a notch or fine tune it with the cast control spool cap when you get in the wind. |

I wanted to post a 6 month report on my Lew's tourney pro and saw this post. Reel has outperformed my expectations many times over. IMO it's smoother than a Curado and casts every bit as good. I don't baby my reels and the Lew's is as smooth as it was when I took it out of the box. My Curado's are workhorses but I notice then tend to grind after a while - I am sure the Lew's will get there but it hasn't yet. Would definitely recommend them.

I was in the Lake Charles Academy today and looked for them. Found where the Heddon topwater baits were located. I looked and looked.....but did not see any or even an empty hook where they would be placed. I found an employee......and he had never heard of them and said they did not have them. Is the "One knocker" the same as a Spook Jr but has a rattle inside of it? |
