I find that you can readily catch boaters with a rattle trap. This only works when they happen to come in range of where I am catching fish.

yep ran across the hole,and tied up to the well head we were fishing,then after about 30 minutes later,the bite started up again,and while Im taking off a fish,I look up and they are in the middle of the hole again. Their boat came untied.
