well you can always go to sherburne in krotz springs. You can catch lots of bass in there. You won't see much over 3lbs, but you can catch 40-60 a day with about a dozen keepers. Camp by the game wardens place and the launch is right there. We've did it before. Real fun for the family

its so beautiful up there... place is awesome. ive been on the lake but never fished it.. id imagine that haul through the ozarks would be hell with a boat.

5 or 6 grand? damn. probably to stay in some ****ty *** lodge too. I wish that was one of those things I could do on my own... just dont think its very safe down there... if i went, it would strictly topwater

whoops.. no cussing. MY BADDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD. (im not used to that lol)

My dad has pulled a 20 foot skeeter there a few times back in the dad,was not too bad. Smallmouth are a blast to catch. A few years ago we caught over 30 fishing a rock drop off where the water would drop from 10 foot to 60 foot. Chunking zara spooks you could watch them come out the deep water a smoke the spook. Would be cheaper to rent a boat with the price of gas these days.
