That is probably a bear that covered it up. You should get a pic in a day or two.....unless he has other food near by.

Yotes may find it soon.

Cousin shot a doe two thursdays ago on Tensas, we tracked her until it got to late and had to get out the woods, the next morning we picked back up on the blood trail and found the doe, but something had found her before we did. The guts were in 2 seperate piles, the neck and the rib cage were about 10 yards away from the rest of the body, and there was a big ball of fur and leaves, the park ranger lives next to our camp and she figured it to be some bears. Needless to say I did not mark any spots to hunt in that area.

More than likely a bobcat. I saw something similar back in October and put a camera on it and it was a bobcat. He would come in, eat, then clean itself, then sleep! All felines will "cache", they kill the animal then cover with leaves to come back and eat on it. Bears will cache as well, but I would bet money this is a bobcat. Let me find those pics

Here is the link I posted on another website check it out

In Tensas if there are bears around, you are in a good spot for deer

They eat much of the same thing, I got some good pics of bears from Tensas as well
