I'm wearing some redwings right now. They have held up pretty well. The ariats with the orange upper that looks like a cowboy boot is pretty popular here at work. Some of the operators that walk in chemicals a lot get the best life out of the ariats.

Had a pair of Ariat that lasted a while, but I hated the way they fitted. Bought a pair of Twisted X that didn't make 3 months. Went back to my trusty old Justins. You just can't beat them.

I worn Justin, Redwings, Wolverine, and Rocky's, none have lasted longer and more comfy than Danner. Hard to break in, but darn good boot, also great hunting boot too, I have a pair of Danner Sharptail, use for Pheasant hunting. Could not be happier. Fixin to order 4th pair in a month or two.

Had some Docs lasted me about 3 1/2 years and I still wear them for hunting or round the house projects. Recently bought a pair of square toe Ariats and I love them. No break in period felt good from the time I left the store.

I used to be an iron worker and had every boot know to man....Red-Wing, Wolverine, Danner, Thisted-X, Doc's, Wal-Mart specials, The best most comforable longest lasting and lighest boot I ever wore was a boot called Worx, they were made by Red-Wing and only came a little above your ankle but they lasted about 10 months and were only $80. Its worth a try. Here's a link to something very similar to what I have, http://www.shermanbrothers.com/produ...roductId=13020

Man, this is like asking "what's the best trolling motor for my boat" - lol!

I like Red Wings and Ariats, no so keen to the Wolverines, and hated the Dr Martins. I am not sure if you like slip on or lace up, but we started wearing a new boot that has really changed my thought process for footwear.

It is a lace up boot that has a side zipper, so once you lace them up, you can use the zipper to get them off and on. The boot is made by Converse, and it has a composite toe (not steel), which does exceed the ANSI standard. So, no more cold toes during winter time. Also, the pair weigh in at 22 ozs and feel like you have a pair of slippers on!

I used to wear docs but they wear down quickly, super comfortable but just dont last unless you work on carpet or grass. I like my wolverines alot, i bought the cowboy looking steel toe since i do sales now and they have lasted 2 years and i do still work in the field alot. Super comfortable and affordable
