I aint never had luck with croaker...never had a bunch to use but a few years back we had some and they were killing the mullet better, but I'm not much of a pro to live bait just use maybe 3 times on channel in August

Caught 13 big Sand Trout and specks this past Saturday. It was the easiest thing. I threw the cast net once, caught about 20 3" croakers and 3 shrimp. I put them in a bucket and that was my live bait.

As far as live bait fishing goes I think whatever you catch in the cast net is what they are eating. Normally, anyway. When I catch mullet I use them, when I catch shad I use them...Croakers, shrimp etc......

Sometimes people get away from common sense when it comes to live bait fishing.

yep when I got kids and women on the boat I just want them to have fun. So I give them the option of live bait if they want it

I don't fish saltwater like i used to i'm more of a green trout man now. My little boy loves to fish saltwater, but i really don't know the lake like i used to and don't have a bay boat to really be comfortable. I really don't like fishing the lake in my marsh rig.

Here we go again.

Its not about what you can catch on artificial, its what can the client can catch with artificial. You try to increase there chances of catching fish. Some people are very inexperienced.

Why does a 1/8 jig head work better than a heavier one? Is it bc they don't drop as fast?

Use 1/4 oz when water gets warmer. And sometimes in the winter I even use a 1/16 oz

A guy who really knows what he is doing took me on a trip where we used plastics. It was my first time and I had no clue what I was doing. I kept reeling down when I had a bite like I was rippin pickles in lacassine. We used 1/8 oz and he said he liked them the best and he uses 1/4 when fishing the channel in the summer

1/8 is good all summer long in the lake....I use 1/8oz until july ..... Now if your fishing with more tide or winds is blowing you might need to go heavier but 1/8oz is plenty for fishing in 3-5ft of water

Now if you get on channel with strong tides u might need 3/4 and 1/2 oz
