That doesn't sound as funny as he said though so, it can't be true. Some opt to live with blinders which is why the OP was stated in the first place. God forbid anyone else comes along to say they've have trouble with the local labor force as well.

Bmac, don't get em in a wad. Fact is, all my workers in my shop are American. I went through a great deal of native la folks to get the ones I wanted though. Brought one from Oklahoma to make it happen. As far as "the peolple of Louisiana," drop the pride deal. I live here too. Unlike you, I came here and opted to stay so, no, I'm not talking la down. Fact is though, a great deal of workers don't care about what they produce here and, that's something I haven't experienced elsewhere. Bare in mind, I've traveled to multiple countries and the majority of the United States. Make of it what you will.

Well, I hired some Americans to put my new roof on last week. Since it rained for 20 minutes yesterday, they decided to take the whole day off. Now, its pouring outside AMD my roof is leaking in multiple places and I've got brand new deck boards bowing all over my new patio cover! If one of them didn't die yesterday, they'll be replaced by "illegals!" This probably just cost me a lot of damn $!!!

They got a small draw yesterday. I'd bet they went and drank or smoked it.

Well, he's on the ball now. I had to go to his house and get him fired up. Gave him the option of being there in 20 minutes to work or be there in 25 minutes to pick up his stuff.

Oh yeah, I will be. He came by a few minutes ago apologizing and had materials in his truck to replace soaked sophets and warped decking...That was his idea, not mine. Hopefully, he does what he needs to. If not, it would make for a very uncomfortable situation since he lives behind my business.
