I think he missed a "(" in his original post. (((5-5)/5)+5)*5=25


This was an extra point question for my neighbors kid. He's in the 4th grade and he got it.

I don't know. I have to some basic calculations with my job and I've never had to do that. I mostly use geometry though.

Yes an extra () would work for further clarification. However in an equation like that you do your () first, then perform your mult. and divide, then you + and -......in order of operation.

Would somebody please excuse my dear aunt Sally!

I had a professor in school ask us to do a paper on what would happen if you were in a train that was traveling 1000mph and you shot a bullet from a gun that travels at around 700mph. Some of the answers were so funny I thought I was going to throw up from laughing so hard. one person said that the bullet would travel backwards and hit the person who shot it.
