You sell it to whomever gives you the money FIRST regardless if it is the person that offered you more on not.

FYI, if someone buys anything from me, here's out it works.
If you make me an offer, and I accept, it's yours for the agreed upon price unless you no show. No matter who shows up with what. Period. If I'm not ready to commit to that, then I won't accept it. Everything else is first one there with the money. 2 weeks ago I was 1/2 way into a 3.5 hour drive to buy a camper talking to the seller on the way when he called to so generously give me the chance to match the offer of the guy that just walked up. I declined. Yesterday I negotiated (jewed) with a guy over a gun until we agreed on a price. It was also out of town. I then asked, via text, for his information so I can have a friend in his town pick it up and bring him cash. I didn't want him to have to hold the gun with no cash from until i could get there. I got no response to phone calls or texts for a few hours after this. Finally he called me to give me the option to beat the price that someone else offered him in the meantime. I declined again. I was under the assumption that, in both cases, when a deal was agreed on and that it was a done deal. If you hit "buy it now" on eBay, and someone emails the seller afterwards offering more, the seller is committed to sell it to you for the "buy it now" price. Same difference right? It's pretty simple. If you do not want to commit to a deal, then don't. Don't put a "buy it now" option out there if you don't want to stick to it. If you want to sell to the first person to show up with cash, then just accept cash offers. Don't accept a verbal offer then take another one. |

Since this Facebook group selling craze got started I have been hearing more and more of this kind of thing. One problem we have today is some men do not stand behind there words. It comes down to good communication these days which many people do not have any more because of the impersonal way we communicate these days. I have rarely had a deal go bad when I shake a mans hand and agree upon a price. It appears that people don't consider what they text as strong as a face to face agreement. We all need to be careful of this and careful of who and where we go to meet. I sold a gun just minutes ago on Facebook, the buyer was offshore on a ship. His solution was to pay me via the Internet and pick the gun up in a few weeks. He has complete faith in me. He doesn't know me at all but in his words there are more good people then bad, we just hear about the bad much more often.
Ok I am getting off my soap box!!! |

I sold the gun to the first person to give me the money. Not only were you not first to give me the money, you were not willing to give the most. Ive seen too many people back out of a deal to hold anything for anyone. I even called you to give you a chance to match the guys offer. Ur tight azz declined then messaged me to say that you would pay up which was ur attempt to "screw me". If I want to have an auction for the gun then I will. I make the rules. I'm trying to sell the gun as quick as possible and get the most money as possible. Im not trying to run a business selling guns so i dont give a **** what u think. I have a day job and I'm was selling the gun for someone else. Next time make a reasonable offer up front and don't spend two days trying to Jew the person down then you might not lose out on a deal.

Like i said, first one with the money in my hand gets it, this isn't a business I'm trying to run. If your not bright enough to understand that then maybe its a good thing that the gun isn't in your hands right now. Knowing you, you would have asked to put the gun on lay-a-way once we meet up. Or maybe asked for a rain check, I don't know. First come first serve. You snooze you loose.

The first person to put cash in my hand gets it. I don't care if its for more money or not. I've had too people tell me they wanted to buy something and then back out. I don't blame anyone for changing their mind though.

IMO if you make a deal with someone keep it!! I pay cash for most everything. And every time I go look at something I am not going to get cash out the bank, with that said when I sell something i don't expect them to have cash right then. But shack hands and agree on a time to get it. If cash shows up before agreed time i say you will sold but after(whatever day agreed on) you will be the first one I call.

Seriously I am trying to figure this out. I wasn't trying to personally attack anyone that's why I didn't call anyone out by name. How would y'all take this? Deal or no deal? I'm in blue.

If you were there first I would have sold to you at that price. The deal goes to the first person there with cash for an agreed price. Not sure what u are getting at.. Let it go.
Also, if you would took the 350, that you later agreed to, two days earlier when it was offered you would had the gun that day. But u wanted to hold out and you held out for too long. |

I guess your right. How did your deals go with the other guns that you had for sale? Any issues with them?

For all 3 guns I had people tell me they were going to buy them then back out. But I took first offer that showed up with cash so all three were sold with no problems on my end.

I thought you wer keeping the broken one? I wanted both of the 1100's but I wasnt driving to buy the one after it seemed like it was turning into a bidding war for guns that were listed "FOR SALE" not "FOR BID" or "FOR AUCTION".... glad you sold them

Like I told you, I wanted to try to fix it before I sold it. I fixed it. U said didn't want it because it was scarred, quit lying to try to fit in.
