All good info here. I use the moon and tide times as a tool, not an ultimate factor. There's always current moving somewhere in the bay no matter what the weather is doing. It's nice when it matches up and you can be on the structure where the fish are with a good current and a predicted major or minor feed time.
yup yup and I didn't evening get to tide and factors that affect it...was just trying to give the op something to go off of when it comes to moon position

I follow moon phase "everytime" and know when the moon over or under will be and try to hit it during that day's time and when the tide is falling...when the moon is chasing a falling tide, im gonna be there if that's my day to fish.....wind direction will first determine where I go whether its N,W,E or S...you can also bet im bringing live bait unless its later in the fall or early early spring.....I have yrs of posts over at rodnreel under my name and I have posted tons of info and believed in the wind and moon for yrs and works for me....

Since this thread started, I've noticed that the solunar tables are a valuable tool.
I noticed a total lunar eclipse will be sunday 9/27 at 9:50 pm.
How does this affect the fishing?

Also, the tides4fishing solunar tables are at calc pass, way south. How does that translate to the north, Prien area?

I saw Biggun fishing and not eating and we caught fish. When he ate something he wasn't fishing and he didn't catch fish. Now I try to fish when ever I can cause never can tell if he is eating or fishing.

Dats what Im saying. If I have a chance to fish its nice if all the stars in the universe are lined up etc etc, but if they arent its not going to make me not go fishing.

interesting question, since the gravity of the sun and moon (mainly the moon) is what creates tides, I would think times of eclipse have the largest tide changes and tides bring food out to where fish can ambush them
