Who said that I wanted to spy on others property? Most of the time I don't even have my camera on my quad.
Also what do you have to hide? The ones who usually cried about that has something to hide and are paranoid. Of course I know you will say that you have nothing to hide.

I mean really what reason would a person have to fly over another persons property with one of those other than just spying?

If you have nothing to hide how can it be spying?

No matter if someone is hiding something or not you shouldn't be on their property. I have nothing to hide. Hell I'll even F my wife on the patio so you get a better video. Don't want the windo getting in the way

Well since you put it that way, maybe you do have something to hide. But I sure wouldn't want to see you and your wife on video.

Aww yeah she's a good looking blonde. Be sure and swing around to the end of the patio at the end. Wouldn't want to miss the money shot. Just email me a copy.

So it's cool if we sit outside and watch your woman through the window while she showers. As long as there's nothing to hide it's not spying right?

Shoot down the drone. By the time police arrive the drone will be gone. No evidence. He could prove it if he was live steaming to an external server or hard drive but would have to show the cops to prove it. I bet that would make for some interesting questions in court. Let's see. Sir why do you video people and their property without their knowledge or permission and stream it to an external, personal server?
I hear Subway has an opening for a new spokes person. E maybe you should apply. Seems you would fit in well

exactly!

there are those who use drones for perfectly respectable purposes but for every person doing the right thing there are 9 others ready and willing to use them just for pure invasion of your privacy just because they can.

I don't know why E feels the way he does but I have to think he sides with those who spy on people because he likes the idea of being able to spy on others.

I remember those fighting robots they used to show on TV, maybe that's the solution, a drone killing drone that goes up there and destroys their spy toys.

using their own logic of THEY aren't spying, the drone is, so if your drone destroys theirs, YOU didn't do anything so YOU aren't responsible for their drones destruction, it was another drone that did it lol.

I think we lost him.lol
I think they are cool and have lots of uses. Fishing vids, getting a good view of your new lease or a great view of your property. I think it's wrong to willfully fly onto another persons property. Yeah you can say you don't video or take pics but should I trust you? I just worry when someone openly says it's no prob unless you're hiding something. When did it become their job to make sure I wasn't hiding something? Your toy is in my yard you will loose it period. Call the cops and wait because I promise you that you don't want to come visit me while youre pissed and combative.

yep, I think he realized just how stupid his position was.

what gets me is if its in my yard then I own it as far as I am concerned. if it breaks and lands in my yard, it belongs to me, if a bird craps on it or "anything" happens to it (even lead poisoning lol) then its mine. so after I shoot it down, if it lands in my yard, then it was on my property, and therefore I own it, and I just shot something that belongs to me, so this idea that he proposes that they can fly a drone over my yard as much as they like and I cant shoot it down is pure BS in my book. I will shoot it down 100 times in a row and would love to go to court to defend my property and privacy rights over the rights of a drone operating peeping tom.

I apply the burglar rule, you can shoot a burglar as long as he falls dead inside the house (I only shoot to kill and don't stop until I put 3 on target) so by the same token I will shoot down any drone as long as it will fall in my yard, if there is a question about where it will land then its questionable if its truly over my yard so I wont shoot.

Seems funny that you are mentioning having someone film your wife and you having sex, which refers to porn and then you have the Subway guy on your mind, Maybe that is why you are worrying about a poor lil quadcopter flying around your neighborhood.
You are the one who brought up some valid points on why you don't like quads. Of course with what you have on your mind I guess I would not want them either.
You can make up every excuse you want but it now seems like you have something to hid, so go ahead and shoot one down and see who comes on here and posts that he needs a lawyer. But you and your friend know everything. HAve at it but no I don't want to film your wife.:*****:

Well if you gona fly it I don't want to waste yoyr fuel, batteries or whatever they run on. Again reading comprehendtion isn't your strong suite. I believe the arguement of private property has been made to you several times. Yet your response is always (shoot it and see what happens) or (if you have nothing to hide don't worry). You however seem to fully support the idea of using your toy to spy on people's property and lives. Using just this thread I'll win in court.Thinking of buying a drone. Could you reccommend a camera. I want good quality stuff.

Even if someone does have something to hide, it's not your damn business to fly your toy over their property and take pics without permission!!

Back "in the day" I used to make my living sometimes conducting LEGAL surveillances. The rule we were taught by our attorneys was that according to state and federal law, if something could be seen from a public (or private with permission) place without using any enhancements, it was legal to observe. For instance, if someone had a fence around their property and it was short enough to where a person could see into someone's backyard without using a ladder, it was legal to observe, but if one used a ladder to look over the fence, that was an invasion of privacy because you enhanced your observation. Seems to me that the use of a drone to video or take still pix is a violation of privacy, especially if the drone is over the "airspace" of another property owner. Now, as to the legality of shooting one down, probably not legal, but some type of civil action could be taken or at least one could file a criminal complaint with the popo. Now, having said that, if I happen to see such an object hovering over my property (and it's in range) and it just so happens that I was target practicing at the same time, then .................
