My son raced BMX. We traveled all over the US. Would leave on Thursday evening, drive all night. Arrive on Friday in time for practice. Time trials on Saturday, race Sunday. Leave the track after his final race and head home. Drive all night, get home and go to work Monday morning. Would not change a thing about the trips and memories made on the long drives. Just to brag, he was LA State champion 2 years, and 7th in the nation back then. Could not bring all the stuff on a plane.

Have fun in Orlando W. last time I went there it was gay week . I'll never go back the first week of June again!

Longest I ever drove was to Twenty Nine Palms, Ca. We had to drive to Monroe first and then come back down I-20 and caught a blowout in Pacos, Tx. I'll take a plane anytime I can now. I love flying and airports for some odd reason.

Matt you need to be an auditor not on the tax side, my first four years out of college I spent half of my life in airports. I learned to hate but also tolerate travel.

I am an auditor. I like tax, but can't stand the fact of sitting in my office all day. The furthest I've traveled so far is Alexandria. I know. Big timimng, right ? I'm hoping for some out of town training eventually.

I gotta drive to Disney world next month with the wife, 2 kids, and the in-laws. I dont think the drive there will be too bad. Its the drive back that worries me.

I'm 35 never been to Disney World and have no desire to go..... my kids are 8 and 7 and they haven't asked yet so I guess that's a good thing. It really doesn't take much to entertain them. I took them on ride across the MS on a fairy and they loved it..... best $1 I ever spent.

It has its advantages and disadvantages, I worked for a large firm so I traveled all over the country and hated it. Sorry I thought you were more tax than audit.

I've driven to Kansas and D.C. A couple times, but I've never flown in my life! Not even a helicopter ride. I have to go to New Jersey may 6th and it will be my first time setting foot in a plane. Should be fun I hope.

No problem. I would love to learn both because when people ask where I work and I say an accounting firm they always ask me a tax question. I have never had anybody on the streets randomly ask me a question about receivables or contingent liabilities!
