Here's the deal.
It's either Petro Services/Safety and working 7/7 while in school at Nicholls It engineering at UL. If I'm going to UL I'm fishing.. If I'm there I might Aswell do that. That's where I'm stuck at. Picking which way to roll. Both are a 4 year. |

That's not even a question.
UL=fine a s s honeys like you've never seen in the Bluff. Or in your life for that matter if you haven't been to Lafayette much. Still close to hunting and fishing. Nichols=Thibodaux, LA=nuff said An engineering degree is the way to go nowadays if you are going to college. Guaranteed job security and a well paying job right out of school. Don't be a fool, FOOL. Go to UL. |

Engineering. Just about anybody on a rig could get that Nicholls degree. When I was graduating from LSU with an environmental science degree approximately 70% of the job listings I looked at were "Engineer Preferred." In hindsight I would have gone engineer.
And even if you have to work 3 jobs stay away from student loans. |

X2 I went to ULL and graduated after messing around for 5 1/2 years.. But I always had a part time job during school and full time job during summer/winter. When I finished I owed $0 in loans or to anyone... Best thing I ever did cuz I still got podnas complaining about student loans and we graduated in 07!! |

Everyone is correct.
Whatever you do, get an engineering degree. Fish. Work part time. Best of everything. |

With the right engineering degree and the right company, you can be in management in a few years if you apply yourself and not have to do engineering work anymore.
I see this all the time in oilfield engineering. Especially Chemical and Mechanical Engineering. Petroleum Engineers usually make more money out the gate though. |

you know there is a middle ground between those two. maybe try a ITEC degree from UL. Not as involved as MEch or Chem. Also a ton of night classes to be able to fish and hunt in the mornings.
