Unfortunately you are correct sir. Was having this discussion with my daughter last week and trying to get her to understand that there is no possible way to not discriminate against people. Unless full anarchy is your choice. There has to be a limit

Interesting question...the wife and I were discussing this.
Being gay is a choice. To further blow your mind love is a choice as well... Therefore someone doesn't "turn gay" they would choose to be gay. |

Marriage is a religious sacrament, and the government should have no bearing on religion. However, same sex couples should have the right to enter in a civil union performed by a licensed public servant. |

I don't have much doubt that since the fall of Adam, people are born with strong dispositions to sin that they are unable to resist. For some it may be alcoholism, for some adultery, for some stealing or other lawlessness. So, sure, it may be that some people are born with an irresistable urge to engage in homosexuality, pedophilia, and beastiality.
But in the US, most people have had a chance to hear that Jesus died for their sins and that through faith in Jesus Christ, one can be set free from bondage to all of the above sins and more, whether that bondage to sin is by birth or through later choices. So in any given case, it might be hard to say whether a person was born with an irrestible urge to a given sin or whether it came about by choice. But most people in the US who remain in such strong bondage to sin as homosexuality have refused the grace and gift of repentance that is available to them through faith in Jesus Christ. Well said MG. Fishinpox, there choice to ride each other til the cows come home doesn't affect any of us. They're the ones getting butt hurt. However, the overbearing government will affect all of us in the end. They have consistently bowed to the minority populations over the years and were losing control of any morals that once existed. Prayer in school no longer exists because of a minority of the population made enough noise. OK, so it made them uncomfortable because we prayed? What about the people who want to pray in school? Now they have to do without, making them uncomfortable. What's fair about that? I'm not a bible thumper but I know that's where it all started. Little by little our youth is being conditioned to accept ungodly things. The youth and our country in the not so distant future will demonized and nobody will know the difference. The snowball is gaining momentum at a scary pace my friends.

My kids haven't been out all that long. My point is the government is taking our rights one at a time and people become conditioned. Kinda like gas prices lol. They run the price up and when it drops to $2.50 a gallon, you here people saying its cheap! Its all about conditioning.

It is a choice.
I also believe that they have a right to choose that lifestyle and they should be afforded the same rights as any other legally binding relationship. I am married in my Catholic church under God... but that marriage is also recognized by the government as a legal union between myself and my wife. I don't have a problem with gay couples being recognized by the government in the same way. I think a business owner should have the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason he sees fit. If I walk into a rental hall with biker clothes and tattoos everywhere and the rental coordinator doesn't feel comfortable with my "type of person" renting the hall. He should be able to refuse. It's HIS business!! My biggest issue is the way it is shoved in our faces by the media. I don't want to see all the LGBT stuff on TV and I surely don't want my kids to see all that crap. It's sad when you have to turn the channel for COMMERCIALS!! on ABC Family Channel while they are showing Despicable Me. If I choose to watch a "Gay" channel that's one thing... but on network TV and family channels they need a little more tact. |
