Laws on stupid drum need to be based in science
Laws on taking away someone's freedom for a victimless crime need to be based in
Morality !?

I have in the past posted much scientific support for marijuana laws.

My point above was that while the LWF Commission is required by Louisiana law to base regulations in the best available science, the Louisiana Legislature is not under any similar burden when it exercises its Constitutional power to pass drug laws.

I would hope most citizens whose minds are not impaired by drug abuse can distinguish between scientific support for a law being unnecessary and scientific support for a law being unavailable.

back to the original subject. i've personally seen the negatives of what an unkept property can do to values and house sales. that's why most new neighborhoods including the ones i build in have alot of restrictions preventing this. if an unkept property around yours bothers you, buy a house in a neighborhood with restrictions. if not, buy a house in the country. simple

Not saying that's the case here, but based on what we know it very well could be.

There's the flip side of the coin
The real issue here was the kids doing possible property damage to a neighbor-NOT worrying about a messy yard. Clearly, their motive was to shift the focus. Calling cops was the right thing-now it's documented.

Well said. Great thing about a free country is you can choose where you live.

If you don't like the rules and regs, you can move somewhere more to your liking.

This thread reminds me of my neighborhood. Shortly after we bought our house I ended up in a minor issue with a few neighbors that almost got to the point of gunfire. There were sheriffs deputies everywhere within 15 minutes. My new neighbor almost became my used to be neighbor. Best part was their reaction when not only did I not go to jail but the deputy told them not to F with me when they are on my property.

After reading this thread it became obvious to me why congress can't accomplish anything and that they never will. Congress does truely represent the American citizens.

I also thought about the saying, "you can't fight stupid and win; it will drag you down to its leave and beat you with experience."
