never had a load that big. my pirgue has the flat transom so i throw me a trolling motor on the back..i raise the motor up as high as i can and stand up and drive...like one of those surface drives

Thats my marsh boat.... I also have an aluminum one that i set up a trolling motor on the flat back transom. I lock the motor with a lock screw and sit in the front and drive the boat by leaning...usually do that when im picking up decoys, or frogging by myself, or picking up ducks on the pond..

Man that is great news about Charlie's! Thank you. As for you finding Drago's not very expensive, that's all well and good, but you're not a teacher .

I used to eat at some place in Berwick and I can't remember the name, but they hands down had the best fried poke chop with white beans and rice I've ever eaten. It was right before the bridge near the Walmart off 90.
Those stuffed deboned chickens with crawfish dressing from Heberts in Maurice were always a stop and get item on my way home...course that was a few years back.

Thumbs up

Some of my favorites that I miss and try to have when I come in town are Darrel's Special w/ Jalapeno Mayo, Paronia's Cajun Roast Beef, Leonards Boudin is hands down the best in Lake Charles & Famous Foods soft and spicy cracklins they will light you up but damn they are good. My parents own a boudin and sausage kitchen in Kinder, LA called Chadeaux's. It is the first gas station on the left after you pass the John Deere dealer on HWY 165 in Kinder. If you stop in you have to get their smoked boudin (the best I have ever had) and grab about 10 packs of their beef jerkey because the first couple will be gone shortly after you open them. One other I forgot about is Cain's extra toast and extra Cains sauce. Damn they have some good eats back home.

Another good one is FUJI Steakhouse across from Home Depot in Lake Charles. The hibachi there is really good and fun to watch too. Go try it with a group of friends, you won't be sorry.
