Yea, I would probably agree with you. IT was my first boat and if I knew what I knew now. I just figured he was in a similar position to me when I got mine. Buying a starter boat and didn't really know what all to look for.

That looks like a good boat and have heard good things about Cape Horn, go run it and talk it over but bring someone that knows somethin about boats to help look it over plus ask a lot of questions to make sure it will get in areas you want to fish and try every gadget out a few times....... would want to think you could trust anyone on here with your life but its best to always check check check before you write a check.

With a lil coonass ingenuity anything is possible! I've seen some pretty interesting trolling motor mount set-ups.

Yeah thinking about letting boat city usa out of henderson, check the engine out, also do you think that boat would be good for possibly getting out to the closer rig to fish? like for snapper and ect on a good day

I meant bow mount trolling motor. If you want rear mount I would go this route http://www.rivermarinesupply.com/xca...ll_n_Tabs.html

With that motor mount one you have to leave you motor trimmed down all the time I would think

I found this one on lasportsman. Looks to be a nice boat and it is in Breaux Bridge if I am not mistaken.http://www.louisianasportsman.com/lp...14252e3a873867
For 6500 hundred it is a nice boat just it is a bigger motor more cost involved in maintenance and repair!
