Bow Season Practice

Craig, are you shooting a drop away rest? If so, how do you like it? Any complaints? I'm thinking about going with one on my next bow and try to get away from the Whisker Biscuit!

Jay, I put a QAD fall away rest and have never had any problems with it, Ripcord make a nice fall away rest as well, I love my QAD though. I get all my equipment from Danny at Outdoor Specialties in Lake Charles, go by and talk to him, very nice guy, he has probably forgotten more about archery than most people know. He will set you up in his computer that will give you all kinds of info.

Yes I am.....I have no complaints so far. When I bought the bow I was going with the Whisker Biscuit but everyone told me that I would end up switching to a drop away, so I figured I would go with it from the start.

Yeah, I bought my bow from another dealer and went with a buddy of mine to pick up his new Matthews from Danny, we probably stayed in there about an hour just shooting the bull with him, he had so many tips and techniques and he will share all kinds of knowledge with you it doesn't matter if he just met you or if he has known you forever, was around may so he wasn't to busy like he normally is just befor hunting season. Even since then anytime I want to have anything adjusted or added I always bring my bow to him..Jay if you do go see him I recommend going very early as you can during the year, if he is not busy he will rig it all up for you and have you shoot it in the shop to see if any adjustments need to be made to anything, he will also be looking at every aspect of your form and release as well and how the bow is fitting you, the closer it gets to hunting season, his shop will be full of people and bows at all hours during the day...
