Raymond it's pretty ignorant to say some calls don't sound better than others. I agree that no call costs 200 bucks to make, or even anywhere close to that. But to say a haydels or a primos or a chien caille sounds as good as a riceland is ridiculous. Watch the video or go listen to someone blow one. I know the other calls kill geese too, but do not sound anywhere near as good. As far as duck calls i agree the duck call prices are ridiculous

Remember, it's all about location, location, location. Maybe, I'll take a kids kazoo to Nodak and see how many of those ducks and geese I can get to commit in Sept. You are falling for the marketing when splitting hairs as fine as tones on calls. TTFN |

I understand it's about location and i don't fall for the marketing of any of the duck call bs, but, no goose call sounds as good as a riceland, thats all i'm saying. I know other calls kill geese, but i want to personally see someone make another call sound as good. And 25 years ago hunting was much easier than today.

25 years ago - 3 wheelers, pirogues, old crusty flambeau decoys, haydels, olt, or duck commander now - spinning wing decoys, surface drives, 1000s of calls, drive right up to your blind in an enclosed side by side and it was 30 days of 3 ducks, the WMAs and NWRs didn't have gravel on the trails, you had to actually go thru mud and walk, some places were almost impossible to hunt, now you can take a surface drive and be there in 5 minutes |

I learned on the old faulks ,and have tried a bunch of different ones since . I now use the poly riceland ,and yes that thing sounds much better than that first faulks ever did .
I thing the main thing is if its thier day to die or not ...period |

Bunch of office hunters. Which one of you own one of those $1000 Columbia jackets and $400 gloves?

Redbone in my opinion is better...I personally blow a Chien Caille...I will not put that Chien Caille down until I stop killing geese with it...If you know how to use it you can make the Chien Caille sound just like the Redbone or Riceland but ONE major difference....CLARITY....The clarity of the Redbone is like no other...The speck makes so many different sounds that even if you mess up on a note, they will not notice the difference....Like I said, until I cann't get them close enough to shoot (not sky bust) then I won't switch from the Chein Caille....

Redbone vs Riceland
I see a lot of comments about the riceland being better hands down. What is the defining characteristic that makes it better? Volume? Richness? Efficientcy? Destinction? Scratch in the low end? Speed? Range?
