adjective
1. made up of disparate or separate parts or elements; compound: a composite drawing; a composite philosophy.

In not against some wood in a boat, but it drives me crazy when boats without wood are called composite as though that, by definition, they have no wood.

A raft made of mud and grass is composite, so is a ship made of wood and nails or glue.

Good job chub. I assumed that since the website says all composite construction that it had no wood. I no longer believe everything on the net.
