I use a heavy rod for bass. Depends on what style of fishing your doing. If flipping and pitching, into structure, grass, etc. I'd go with a med heavy. 7'6
All depends on what style your doing. However, I would not own anything with the word carrot stix in front of it. Pure junk IMO. |

Still depends on what kind of fishing you plan on doing with the rod. I use 6'6 Browning Medallion GT rods on all of my Shimano baitcasts. I use medium action rods on my casting rods and a heavy action rod for flipping into grass and structures. I love the Browning medium actions. They cast amazing and you feel everything with them. Just my thoughts. I also use the medium action rods for trout and the heavy action for reds. I have had no issues with this setup. Works great. Just my opinion.

I was kind of looking for one rod I could use. Don't really flip or pitch so I guess just a casting rod, I was looking at either the carrot stix or the falcon bucoo

I would go with a med/heavy if you are fishing mostly bass probably in 6'6" or 6'8"

Don't know what the bucco rod cost. But u might consider a custom rod and u can fish multi species. With it. I know a guy that has a rod he fishes. Bass, sacalait and redfish with. Pm me for further info

I'd go falcon Bucoo hands down. I prefer a 7'0ft rod all day long. I'd go with a med. or a med. heavy.

Falcon Bucco is hands down the best rod you can buy for 100 bucks. Very light and sensitive.

I have been a shimano user for long time now, but last week before I left for Toledo I bought a bucoo just to try out and now that's the only rod I want to throw. It's was well worth the money and that's what I'll be buying when its time for another new set up.
