Default Tide guide question

What is the best tide location to use for turners area? I usually go on sportsman because it's easy to read, but the only one I know of in that area is lighthouse warf.

Thanks

I am fairly new to figuring out the lake and have wondered the same thing. I have been paying attention to the tide charts and what is actually going on while on the lake in the Hackberry area and I have found that the tide prediction from the Cameron(Cal Pass) location is the most accurate for that area. The Bulk Terminal location is not as accurate. Im still working it out however so anyone who knows for sure it would be nice to have their input.

Someone once told me that weeks bay tide in vermillion bay is almost the same as turners in big lake. I guess they are a similar distance from the coast. But I'm not sure.

Try realTide app for iPhone. It shows the tides at the stations and allows you to drop a pin on a satellite image map and gives you tide, sun, moon at the point you drop.
All it's doing is triangulating your dropped pin location and adjusting the tide predictions of the nearest station to that point.

The navionics app can do it for a specific location. The all costs $10 but it is worth it for me.

How does navionics work for a specific location? Easy as dropping a pin like the realtide app?

Get out there and fish. I haven't looked at a tide chart in 3 years. Just have to adapt to each day.

Not at all home boy. I wasn't trolling. Just stating a fact. Because the tide charts are not accurate when you account for wind speed and direction and rain fall.

That's why there is an "observed" height overlapping the predicted tide height to, you know, account for wind speed, direction and rainfall.
