Default Duck cleaning

Used to get our specks cleaned in welsh but the lady quit doing it. Saw a sign today in lake Arthur so we went to a new place to get them done. 3 bucks a goose. That is dirt cheap. They are on kellog street in lake Arthur. Number is 337 275 7492. Figured I would share this with everyone because it's such a good deal

Lol I just hate picking specks and for 3 bucks a piece that's a good deal. I usually breast them out for the grill or gumbo or to cut in strips and fry but we like a few picked to deep fry for thanksgiving and cooking a gravy. I'll post the results of how good of a job they do

My uncle took a small electric motor and put rubber "thumbs" on it (from rubber cord) and made a duck picker. Makes those bad boys look store bought. Doesn't leave a single feather on the bird. I'll take a pic when I got back for the 2nd split. I think you can buy em somewhere, he got the idea from watching a show where they mass process poultry.

I know, cool story. This thread made me think about it.
