I can't even look at that picture without getting mad. The guy in front of you is the jackass. The one on the right could slow down or speed up to help out.

Maybe they saw this before leaving.

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - The Louisiana Highway Safety Commission has issued a warning to families planning road trips this summer: Slow down.

John LeBlanc, the commission's executive director, says speeding is a factor in about one-third of crash deaths in Louisiana. He says driving while intoxicated and not wearing seat belts also account for many of the traffic deaths and injuries both in Louisiana and across the nation.

A study conducted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has found that roughly 668 people were killed in highway crashes in Louisiana last year, and 62 percent of those killed were not buckled up.

LeBlanc said Thursday the total cost of a speeding ticket and court fees in Louisiana can be more $100, especially for repeat offenses, which can also result in increased insurance premiums.

Donnie, call *LSP and report the one in the left lane. If he has an ADVISE # call it and report it also, those trucks have real time GPS and can be tracked.

The fella on the left musta read this post lol. He got after it and moved over within a mile after posting. I wasn't really pissed just in disbelief that for 15 min they stayed side by side.

Ele.... I agree with your post but 65 in a 70 is only clogging up the interstate which in turn leads to more wrecks than speeders. Even get u tickets some places for driving below limit in passing lane.

Thx for the info Ray

Couple months ago I was passed on Lake St in a 25mph zone by a crew change van (est 45-50mph) with the 800# on the back. Called the number at Sale rd and watched him get an azz chewing at 210 by his dispatcher, the guy had no clue who ratted him out but he would have know it was me if he had turned to his left to see me laughing my butt off.

That is 100% of them jacking around. They get that close and talk to each other on the cb. They get side bye side and go the same mph so they don't have to worry about traffic and they can just talk. They talk about where they are going where they from what they hauling etc etc.... I know this because I asked some truck drivers at our pit because I always get stuck behind them like that on I10. Call dot and report that they are leaking something and it's making u choke. They might make it 20 miles before they get pulled over.

Speaking as a truck driver. Most of the trucks are regulated to 65mph. A lot are regulated at 63mph. Once the guy going 65mph gets behind the 63mph he wants to pass them up. Yes some not so nice drivers speed up to just aggravate the cars behind them. Before y'all jump all over the drivers hauling yalls freight around. You need to ride with us to see the crap we put up with cars pulling out in front of, cutting us off, etc.........
