Default Taxidermist???

I'm looking for a good taxidermist in or near the Lafayette area. I am a firm believer in "you get what you pay for". So anyone have any experiences, good or bad, with taxidermist in or around Lafayette??

Davids Taxidermy does good work, you can go by his place and see for yourself. If you dont mind driving 45min, Buckhorn Taxidermy is the best around.

I use Henry Barker in Lafayette. He lives behind Fresh Pickins. Does good work. I think $200 for a duck and he does them FAST. He mounted a pintail for me in a month one time. And they look good.

I highly recommend David's Taxidermy especially for ducks. He has won many awards for his ducks.

Just dropped off my duck at David's today. Checked out his work while I was there and I was very impressed. He is a very nice guy and extremely easy to deal with.

$hit. I remember it costing $70 to $80 for a duck mount.
And I thought that was high...

X2... I have 5 mounts from barker (3 ducks and 2 fish) and have been happy with all of his work. He did go up on his prices, ducks are now $225, but still cheaper than others and you dont have to wait a year to get your mount back.

Thanks. I think a dead mount is my next thing to get. Id like to do a drake mallard, pintail, widgeon, blue wing, green wing, and a speck.
