Littman cardiology iii runs about $150. It's amazing how much more you can hear with that compared to cheaper ones

Littman is the only way to go!!! Still have mine somewhere if you want to buy some new ear pieces and try it out. I carry a cheap-o-depot in my jump bag since I am usually first to arrive and have my equipment raped, that way it doesn't go home with some VFD guy......hint,hint!

Littman
Littman...I am not in medical field, but own horses. We used the Littmans to check heart rate and hear digestive noises (mostly concerning colic). We have the scopes in "rough" enviroments and all still function great after many years of service. A couple of high school buddies of mine are medical doctors and they all recommended this brand to me when I asked them for advice.

Dont think they have quite the prescriptive authority... could be wrong. Dont know too many of them here to have ever really answered that question. Could also be scope of practice. I dont know the cans and cants of their practice.

OK I was def wrong... prescriptive authority same. Scope of practice different from state to state. PA's driven by physicians... NPs can practice alone in some states. Schooling way different.
