No pics, unless you wanna see a finger wrapped up.

Its always the junky crap that bites you. Someone flew in over the weekend with their gear pinned DOWN due to a unsafe indication for gear transition. Brought it to us to fix. Had my guys jack the acft and we started to inspect it. Pulled all the locking pins out, and they all came out EASY but one and when I pulled on the ring, the ring split and sliced me to the bone on the underside of my index finger right in the crook. 6 stictches later...........

Kind of like this?

I reached into my "fanny" pouch and my finger found the tip edge of my skinning knife. I got it stopped bleeding by the time I walked 1/2 mile back to my truck.

What brand knife? Can't beat a good sharp knife.

It is a 30 year old Buck knife. The spring that holds the blade in, has gotten weak and the tip of the blade sometimes sticks out a little.

Over the years I have learned how to get the blade "razor" sharp and last long enough to skin and cut up a deer.

Damn dude. Glad stitches was all you needed. Had a close call once cutting a wedged tree. Got my pants but nothing else luckily. Chaps were bought the next day.

Thanks. Working on duck blinds and caught my leg. Just routine stuff we do. It could have been a lot worse.
