My heart says Bass-grew up fishn bass, but Trout are more fun.
I think it depends on the circle of friends you fish with as well. Either way would be nice hold a WR. My personal best trout was 27" 7lb 30z caught on a soft plastic I poured and actually messed up the color on. lol Best bass was 8lb 13oz caught on 4lb line and was definitely a fun fish to catch. |

Gotta go with trout. While I agree that trout (numbers) are easy to catch I feel like Big Trout are harder to catch than Big Bass. No scientific evidence to back it up, but how many people do you know who have caught an 8+lb bass vs an 8+lb trout?

BASS hands down.....Bass is a bigger sport fish world wide and would generate soooooo much publicity and money with endorsements it would be Crazy.
Not to mention a harder fish to catch at that size. TB |

where are you going with this? I've fished 10 x the amount on toledo and rayburn in my lifetime and my biggest fish is 5.9lbs...up to 5 years ago...started focusing on big trout and i've caught over 20 fish bigger than 5.9lbs with a couple touching and going over 8lbs. "To me" bass fishing is the harder of the 2! And if trout weren't part of the (literally) "weakfish" family....then i could guarantee you there would be no redfish cup...it'd be a speck cup! |

Im saying Bass fishing is way more of a challenge than trout fishing by far!!!....I grew up bass fishing...Bass fished my whole life from the marsh to big lakes.... Biggest Bass i ever landed was over 6lb in the pool back in 1995 or 96..... I have a trout over 8 and numerous over 6 and 7lbs....Big trout are not hard to catch.... Big Bass are..
