I am in the process of building a pond, but still in design stage. Can you tell me how big is your pond?

yea that what im talking abt having ur own pond to grow sac a lait and just catch them whenever u want to. nice size growth in a two year span and if ya stock it well with bait it will grow faster... they eat just abt anything that they get their eyes on like bass does.

Cajun the pond is only 1/3 acr, its 12' deep and loaddded with sac-a-lait , these fish will be 2 years old may the 5th, they were the size of a quarter when I put them in, the average size is 9-1/2 inch, i have put about 60 pounds on flat head minnows, 2 sacks of crawfish and a dozen bull frogs

If you stock a pond with bass and sac a lait and don't put forage fish regularly they will stunt the bass population. The Ag center has some good resources on farm pond management.
