Default Ferry launch

Is that a good launch near the ferry on the west side off 27? I never launched there before. Would a 22 ft bay boat be a problem?

Yes. At the ferry there is a great ramp on the west side on 27. Put my 24 blue wave in there, no problem.

It's a nice launch. Be aware that there is a cement curb at the edge of the cement ramp under the water about a foot inside of the pier. Also be aware that (due to the location) the ramp tends to collect a lot of seaweed, driftwood, and other debris. Pulling back up the ramp if you back down over much seaweed can be a problem. After a challenging experience, I always carefully inspect the ramp and remove seaweed and debris before launching.

I have a slight preference for the ramp on the east side, a couple of miles further south, close to the Jetty fishing pier, but my preference is based more on the fact that it's a shorter run to the jetties rather than the state of the ramp.

There is also no wharf. You need to beach load passengers. A keel guard would help.
I think launching a 22' by yourself would be tough.
