Default People usually are referring to one

of the barrier islands south of Houma. Raccoon Island is the one farthest to the west, southeast of Dularge. At this time of the year it gets really good there around the rocks on the south side of the island, and at the nearby structures and rigs as well as the Picketts where they've made an artificial reef a couple of summers ago. There's also the Enstar Rig which is a wooden structure just west of Raccoon Point that is good sometimes.

It depends on which island you are fishing.

Default Yeah, if your're leaving from the dock

at the end of the road in Dularge, it's a good 30-35 mile ride to get to Raccoon Point which is the closest island to that dock anyway.
