Default You would think it was mid spring in Wilkinson Bayou

This past Saturday the trout bite was as good as I have ever seen it. Caught well over 50 trout... Putting 20 in the live well and tagging the rest. The average size was 15"... With the occasional bull red.

Oh yea... The hats were insane make sure you bring a mask as no spray was working that day, and I have four types of spray in my BOAT.

I'm assuming you meant gnats. Nice catch on the trout though. I've never heard of that bayou.

Wilkinson is on the northern side of Barataria, due north of the most Eastern tip of Grand Isle.

Gnats... yes... damn spell check on this computer.

I an under estimating the swarm of gnats by the way. It was so bad that I could not see through by sunglasses.

196 Adventurer by Tidewater. She is considered a deep V... but only drafts 11" of water which makes it a good all around boat for what I do.

If you see me on the water... come on by and say hello... I have no issues letting you know where I am catching the fish.
