Default Battery placement and use

What's y'alls thoughts on this? I have a 24v TM on a 16' aluminum hull and running a 40 4 stroke Tohatsu. Right now, I have my starting battery I back and 2 group 31 agm's under the front deck which is too much weight (126#) up there. What if I move one TM battery to back and use it for starting too? I know there is a danger of being left, but I've got to shed some front end weight and I hate to have 2 batteries in the back. Sorry for the long story.

Replace the 24v motor with a 12v and shed one battery? Do you need the 24v setup or is that just what you're stuck with?

Exactly. 12v 55# just wasn't cutting it
