This sounds like BS to me. I doubt it wont even make a 10% difference in battery life or vibration. To boot, it may compromise your tolling motor when used in salt water.

I received an answer about my Minn Kota 101 saltwater and installing the prop nut He said I would have to remove the anode!! That ain't happening! So beware before purchasing one.
