Yes I had it checked. It has no play in it. It is solid.

you might wanna check if your motor is exactly vertical, that will make a world of difference.

I have a suzuki 175 and it is pretty stiff when turning either way. Though I was a problem but I was told that's how it should be.

Did you try to bleed air while turning the helm at the ram?

You should be able to turn it with your pinky wide open. I have twin 175's on one boat that I replaced all steering (2 pumps, ram and lines) and can turn doing 50 with my pinky. It takes a lot of time and patients to get every last bubble out of the system.

I had a cat with twins that I sold last year. You could turn it with a finger but I think its because they were counter rotating engines. According to my mechanic I have no air in the system.

All the NASCAR drivers complain about it not turning left good on Sundays.
They always change four tires and top off the gas. Maybe a round or two down on the track bar. Hope this helps! Boogity Boogity!

I painted it and It looks good enough for me. It took all of 15 minutes to do. What an easy fix. O yeah and it cost 15 bucks. Took a couple of days to come In.
