Made a short trip this evening. Fished around trash pile caught 2 13" trout and lots of short fish 3 keepers reds and to many big nasties to count! Even helped a fellow fisherman off a mud flat. Poor guys had some serious mosquito bites. Trout are moving in but I couldn't find many keepers. Beautiful water. Caught more gaftop on top water today than I have in all the times I throw it. First one I hooked I just knew I had a big sow... Dang the bad luck!

They zigged when they should have zagged! sounded like they weren't familar with the area and took a wrong turn into an onld location, tide was low and still falling. Good thing i went that way instead of the short cut because his truck and mine were the only 2 left at launch.

That was us you pulled out Matt. Thanks again. That was the first time we launched there and just missed the cut. It would have been worse if we wouldn't have caught anything. All caught on artificial 100 yards off the bank. I know which cut not to take now. Thanks again Matt.

No problem man and it was nice meeting you guys, I'm sure it was nicer for you to meet us! at least y'all had a mess of fish and someone that always stays till dark passing through! I'm glad i could help those skeeters are tough in the marshes! i was chunking top water all evening then decided to put dead shrimp on the bottom and hooked a few reds. Good thing i went that way we were the last ones at the landing lol, that woulda made for a long night. PM me your cell # in case you're ever in a bind out there I'm just 10 minutes down the road.
