Default Surf fishing in Grand Isle?

Thinking about taking my son down and try some surf fishing at Grand isle. Any pointers? Where do I go? Went with a buddy a few weeks ago in his boat and did pretty good but just want to take my 12 year old for some good ole' fashioned surf fun.

Thanks in advance.

First try behind bridgeside marina against the jetties. In may, 3 of my buddies and myself caught 200 trout there in 2 days all on plastics. Prob the best fishing trip of my life surf fishing-wise. I dont think it is that hot anymore. Also, if u stand on jetties and cast into pass u can catch there too. But be CAREFUL! The jetties are extremely slippery and dangerous. I thought on of my buddies broke is neck last time i went out there. Also if that doesnt work drive to the end of the island to the State Park. Wade out toward the rock breakers. DOnt get too close though b/c it gets pretty deep. Throw at the rocks and work back toward u. Hope this helps, and make sure u post how u did!

Default Weather delay...

Due to the 60% chance of rain we have decided to postpone the trip until better weather. I appreciate the responses and will surely post back with information when this trip does happen.

Thanks
