Default New Pete's in Lafayette

How many SC members have tried the new Pete's? Hope you don't get your hopes to high thinking that it is like the old Pete's. Just my, wife and grandson opinion of course.

Environment? Food? The whole place? Are the fried pickles and burgers at least still good?

Man they had the best fried pickles around... I sure hope they didn't go and screw those up.

They completely changed the whole place up. The waitress seemed like she didn't know a thing about the menu. The menu was literally one sheet of paper with hardly any items on it, fried pickles weren't even an option. The burger wasn't terrible, but not even close to what they used to be. The only thing that I noticed that was original was some of the old booths along the left(east side) wall. I'm not going to say I'll never go back, but I'm sure going to wait a while.

They are going to expand the menu in the future to include the traditional items.

The atmosphere sucks in there. I don't like eating in a brightly lit restaurant.
