Let me start by saying that most of these attorneys are POS and posting on a fishing website is out of line. However, because of this mess many hard working men, lodges, restaurants, etc.. are out of business. Am I missing something here?? BP reports earnings in the Billions every quarter, they should be responsible for paying the loss of income to the people who DESERVE it. Let a judge decide if they deserve it not us. Get their taxes, P&Ls, their books etc.. and make it right with them. Unfortunatly without an attorney, BP would laugh at these folks. It seems it is Ok for BP to make billions (which in my opinion is OK, for now we live in a capitalist economy) but the people effected most by this financially aren't entilted to their loss of wages. Come on.

If someone sneezes in the wrong direction, gas prices go up! God forbid they actually have a reason such as this!

I don't care if they have trillions in overhead. Their NET profit (after overhead) is still in the Billions each quarter.

Well our president insists that we have enough in reserves where it won't affect the prices. Seriously doubt it.

Putting people out of buisness?? Try booking a hotel room in Venice or cocodrie........try hiring a guide while your at it. Think they wanna take you out when they can make over 1000 a day working for BP?

There are alot more places in Southest La - Mobile Bay than Venice. Yes Venice is booked b/c that is where they set up "post".

Default Attorneys

I do agree that there are plenty of people who will need legal advice do to the impact of this event. However these attorney's are not looking at representing those people.

Here is a qoute from their website: "If you are a licensed recreational saltwater fisherman who can't fish because of the oil spill, please complete the forms below and email them to cantfish@ocblaw.com * * Email address protected by JavaScript. Please enable JavaScript in order to contact me. or fax them to (504) 299-8735."
