anyone have an idea of who has the best deal on a new 25 yammy 4 stroke? or the cost of one?

what are you puting it on? the 25 is not considered a portable and dosent have the shallow water kick up like the old 25 two strokes.

We bought a 2 stroke 25 yamaha that had about 2" hairline crack in the cowling for $1000 cheaper! A lil touch up paint & you can't even see it!

what are you gona put it on, i have a yamaha and love it but if i was gettin another 25 it would be a tohatsu 25 2 stroke i think they cost less and gona have better performance and its a short shaft

my friend has a 25 tohatsu and never had any problems with it and runs very well too

I got a 1448 alumnacraft jon boat rated for a 25 has a jack plate and 15in transom. the motor on it now is a 20inch 35 johnson that is a 1986

I kinda wanted a 4 stroke so I didn't have to worry as much about fuel issues.

they say that the tohatsu is real good on gas for a 2 stroke, but i get what you want and thats what i would buy if you wanted it

It is till you put the boysen reeds on it, i noticed a fairly significant difference after changing it. Still not bad though and will get up and go quick.

have not ran one but lake area marine is pushin the 25 and 40 hard for marsh, they are low on weight, short shaft and best of all 2 stroke
