I have been watching forecast also.
Looks like it is going to be more calm than last weekend.

Im heading east again thoigh to GI.

I know some rigs out there that hold fish. I dont know any rigs out of cameron.
Would hate to run that far offshore and not be able to get on some fish.

This week we will be geting a hotel rrom in galieano rather than leaving lafayette at 2:30.
That was too long of a day.

Going to tey to focus on catching some lemon fish and mayne grouper this time.

Any tips on tarheting different species like this? Snapper limit gets filled wayyyy too fast.

If I can give you any advice it would be this......ling usually hold at the bottom and show themselves. Rig a rod to jig the deeper depths, but also have a rod rigged to swim a bait on the surface when they get curious and do a swim by. Ling are an opportunity catch so be prepared for that chance!!!!

Try to get a room at Boudreax's in Leeville. You can put the boat in the water and be ready to go in the morning. It's a quick run to Fourchon and out the pass. No crossing the bridge necessary and just a little farther than Galliano to drive.

We will be in my boat! - Last trip was 37 gallons total for a whole day of fishing. You don't wnat to see the fuel consumption on 3- 300hp Yammys!!!! WE have to plan those trips carefully! LOL - Think I'm going to make him a sign that says "this boat doesn't run on THANKS".

Default Weekend fishing

Will be fishing out of fresh water, Friday & Saturday. Larger snapper have been west, but decent fish can be found south 30+ miles. Will be in a Cape Horn with blue trim. Good luck

Looking for someone to (1-2 peeps) to share expenses for trip 2 morrow Friday..

I fished yesterday... Limits of 10-12# snaps out of rollover.. They WERE calling 1-2's yesterday. Wrong.. 2-4's and 3-5' all morning . Eased out @ 18kts.

About 12 noon they eased 1-2's with a 3' ground swell.. Did catch some dink dolphins..

All fish were 10-13#.. We broke off some way bigger fish..(10 Fish)

Had one fish.. Brake a #7 demon circle hook, a live mullet.. Fish are holding about 20 ' off bottom..

If interested call or text Gunner.. 337-781-9581 .. We'll meet in Abbeville.

I'm going on my recertification check out dives Saturday so I can't fish..
Did not see any ling..

Man that sucks! I'd rather be working on the boat than sitting at the desk I'll be at all weekend.

Man that sucks!!! But at least you have a chance to salvage the weekend - good luck on the repairs. Just checked with some of my guys offshore. As forecasted, the winds are switching and seas are laying down over last hour. Supposed to be good tomorrow!
