Default My first smoke

Got a brisket and a pork cushion for my first smoke.

Split an old black cherry stump and mixed it with some hickory and apple

Marinated my pork in chadeauxs beef jerky marinade for 2 days and did a dry rub on my brisket along with a basting sauce.

After smoking for 4 hours because it was so cold i put them in foil and Soaked the pork in apple juice and put it in a roaster.

Came out great. Forgot to take beginning pics but this is ending.

not criticizing just a suggestion...let that brisket stand longer and you won't lose as much of that precious juice on the cutting board

A lot of that was from inside the foil when I took it out of the roaster

Thanks for the tip though
